Version 1.4 is the biggest update Block Forge has had: a second way to play, a reason to stay for one more round, background music, and an optional evening reminder. Everything that was already there — the 60 levels, Endless and the Daily Challenge — works exactly as it did. Drop Forge — a new mode, if you want one
In Drop Forge the blocks come down the well one at a time and you decide where they belong. Slide to steer, tap to turn, let go and the piece settles. Fill a complete row and it clears, and the stack above it drops down.
The well is eight columns wide and fifteen rows deep, and the shapes are the same ones you already know from the 8×8 board — no new vocabulary to learn. Rows come faster the more of them you clear, so a good run turns into a fast one.
Three control styles, because hands differ. Swipes is the default: drag left and right to steer, drag down to bring the piece down sooner, flick down to drop it, tap to turn. Hold keeps the tap-to-turn and uses a press-and-hold to bring the piece down fast. Buttons puts arrows on screen for players who prefer them. Pick one in Settings — or change it from the pause menu without leaving the round.
Two small things that took the longest to get right: the piece follows how far your thumb has moved rather than jumping to where it is, and it does not lock while your thumb is still on the screen. Let go, and it settles.
How to get in. Two free rounds a day, so you can try the mode properly before deciding anything. Watch an optional video for one more round, up to three a day. A Drop Pass gives three rounds for 120 coins, and 1,800 coins unlocks the mode for good. If you have already bought Remove Ads, Drop Forge is yours permanently at no extra cost.
Forge Heat
Play a few rounds in a row and the forge warms up: ×2 from your second round, climbing to ×5 from the eighth. It cools down after twenty minutes away from the game.
What Forge Heat does not do is change what a round pays. Your score, your stars and the daily reward are exactly as they were. What it adds is a separate bonus on the results screen: take ten coins, or ten times your multiplier if you would rather watch an optional video for it.
Music
Three tracks, written for the game: one for the menus, one for the puzzle modes, and one for Drop Forge. It pauses under ads and never starts over music you are already playing, and there is a Music toggle in Settings if you would rather have silence.
An evening reminder, if you want one
One notification a day, at 19:30 by default, with a line that fits what you were doing — the level you stopped before, the daily streak you are keeping, the record you were chasing. Tap it and it opens that mode directly.
It is off until you say yes, and the game only asks after your third round rather than at first launch. Change the time or switch it off entirely in Settings. Nothing is sent if you have already played that evening.
Home screen and coins
The home screen is calmer now: pieces drift slowly behind the menu instead of a flat background, and Reduce Motion holds them still. The coin has been redrawn — the same gold, a cleaner shape, consistent everywhere in the game.
What has not changed
Levels, Endless, the Daily Challenge, boosters and their prices, and the way coins are earned. Drop Forge is an addition, not a replacement — if you never open it, nothing about your game is different.

- Do I have to play Drop Forge?
- No. It sits behind its own button on the home screen and the rest of the game is untouched.
- Does Drop Forge cost real money?
- There is no new purchase. It unlocks with coins you earn in the game, and it is free permanently for players who already bought Remove Ads.
- Can I change the controls later?
- Yes — in Settings, or from the pause menu during a round.
- Will the reminder spam me?
- One a day at most, only if you turned it on, and never on a day you have already played in the evening.
- Does Forge Heat change my score?
- No. It only adds a small optional bonus on the results screen.
- How do I update?
- App Store → Updates. Block Forge needs iOS 16 or later.
